BMR products installed! HELP
I just purchased the BMR lower control arms (rectangular) and the xtreme roll bar. I have two MAJOR problems and didn't know if anyone else had these products.
1- the rectangular arms have grease fittings, but once installed on the car you cannot grease them because they are in the middle of the box, and your supposed to grease with the arms installed, and you cant get a grease gun fitting into the space - MAKES NO SENSE, my friend is using metco and the fittings are right there, not the case with BMR. Because the fitting is in the middle of the box it is hidden and unable to get to through teh mounting brackets, its just too tight! 2 - the rear roll bar went on easily and looks good, but when i lowered the car the swaybar makes contact with the rear. I have a GN 8.5 and the sway bar touches the square tabs on the bottom. They say if there is any gaps use the shims, i did as it said and it fits snug but rubs the rear. I emailed BMR but havent heard anything yet. Overall one big headache and not so sure i would recommend BMR - anyone have these products and had different or similiar takes on them? |

As for the grease fittings...
...they make a right angle adapter to deal with just such situations. Here is one: http://www.ajfittings.com/Couplers/B6238.jpg
Alternatively, you could use a right angled grease fitting. ![]()
