If the pump spins, then the motor portion is OK.

If the motor is ok, more than likely your issue has to do with something in the pump head.

What model shurflo do you have? What chemical was run through it?

Sure its not debris contamination in the head of the pump?

Hi Razor; the pump is a 8000-541-236, viton valves, santoprene diaphragm.

i pulled the head off to check it out and all looked well. the valves and diaphragm
looked pristine. there was on debris or contamination in the pump head.
i've been using a 50/50 mix of water and meth or just straight meth, trying to find the right tune.

thank's for your help, don

Pull out the check valve that's under the pressure switch assembly and inspect it. It will have a viton rubber o-ring. That can cuase your condition.

Thanks Razor, i'll look at that..

one quick question if you don't mind. would i be better off swapping out the valves and diaphragm to say buna and geolast or epdm and santoprene if running meth.

once again thank you for your insight, don
