Yes under the hood. Once you remove the screen you’ll be able to see where the old caulk has cracked and start to chip away all along the firewall. I can’t remember exact name brand of caulk but you should be able to pick it up at Napa Auto Parts. As for the seam sealer that’s what it’s called.
Btw...If your wet floor board is associated with the car running and a steam windshield check the heater core instead.
