reading that made me sick to my stomach. i have a Rod and 3 screws in my left tibia, it was a perdy complicated break, it hurts every day no matter what i do. i have been lucky i have not broken my femur. i know sevral people that have broken them and its unlike breaking any other born in the body. your never quite the same. good thing they are both young. make sure they go to a GOOD therapist, and make sure your ortho know what you want to happen with recovery. DO NOT be happy just getting the kid walking. make sure they, they are athletic (if they are). change docs and or therapist if you are at all unhappy. i made that mistake and it cost me a track scholorship.
