Not that you have any concept what it was like yo be an adult in the 30's through the 50's, Helms saw things as most Americans did then, including black Americans.

I can't think of plenty of better people to die, but this was his time and being a believer in God, no doubt he was ready.

I can't argue with his view of gays, though personally, I'm not as outspoken as he. Still, it's wrong according to my beliefs and that's that.

I also oppose MLK day. We don't have a Geore Washington Day. We don't have an Abraham Lincoln Day. Each of them did more for American than King ever did. We don't have a "white Americans" day, let alone MONTH! We don't need an MLK day. We need people to stop using their crutches when we already know they can stand and walk, and even run, without them.

Helms, the "Fing dirtbag," also adopted a 9yr old child and saw to it that boy was well taken care of, though he had a crippling disease. Yeah, he was a dirtbag...Must have been... How many children have you chosen to take care of, which weren't your own blood? Dare I say, zero?
