Sorry to hear that - as I know the frustration ride height creates. Did you clock them per the service manual? It calls for the pigtail being no more than 5 degrees forward or 15 degrees rearward of an imaginary line that runs right over the axles. Although I am not sure if this would make a difference or not, it may be worth checking.
